UNINHABITABLE ZONE

MEGACORPS public transcripts about the Uninhabitable Zone [often referred to as the Unhib Zone or Uzone] describe it as ruins of the old world that are heavily irradiated and dangerous. They warn of rains that burn human skin, and constant typhoons that crumble mountains, and decimate wildlife, leaving it barren and worthless.

However the reality that Megacorp is hiding from the population, is that the Uninhabitable Zone is actually the first signs that natural plant and wildlife were able to survive WWIII and Megacorp's industrial takeover. In the North-Western most corner of the continent are ruins of the world from the early 2000s that have been overgrown by lush forests and plants. The air is clean and breathable and there are even pockets of clean freshwater.

A few secret communities have been discovered by Megacorp scientists on their expeditions here, and while they have tried to wipe them out and burn down the regrowth, it always seems to come back.

All Megacorp can do now is try to keep it secret.
